The New Millennium/ Armageddon Class Carrier is currently the most powerful warship in use by the USTA. This vessel is designed for a variety of different missions, including escort, patrols, reconnaissance, front-line combat/ command duty, and even colonization. The Carrier, even though is the latest in Terran and Shivan Technologies, is not easy to build but is easy to maintain compared to other warships such as the GTD-2 Ronin or even our own Northampton class destroyer. The ship provides massive firepower and protection, as well as the ability to carry 5 full wings of fighters/ bombers into combat. Millennium Carriers utilize the latest in Electronic Warfare Systems, thus leading to their designation as Millennium Carriers. This is the next generation. The first Armageddon Class Vessel was launched in 2355, The USTAD Armageddon. Utilizing a new engine design by Diaz Corp. Today, the Armageddon level ship class was put back into service to counter the growing number of Syndicate Oberon class destroyers in allied space. The USTA made a decision to merge both classes into one, thus the NEW USTAC Millennium. Only 1 USTA shipyard, Caliban Cove produces New Millennium/ Armageddon class ships at a rate of 1 per year. There are currently plans to continuously upgrade this class in the future.
